1989 RAT FINK SHIRTS®︎ Ed Roth

80年代〜90年代のSCREEN SRARS BESTボディを使ったグラフィックアーティストエド・ロスが手掛けた1989年のホットロッドのTシャツです。 
 
Ed “Big Daddy” Rothと言えば、独創的なホットロッド、美しいピンストライピング、エアブラシで描く狂気的なキャラクターなど、アメ車の世界では知らない人はいない程、カスタムカルチャーのパイオニアですが、やはり自称ミッキーマウスの兄であるRAT FINKが代表作とされ、カリフォルニア産ということも重なり、アメ車好き以外にも、スケートカルチャーをはじめとするストリートファッション業界でも人気を誇っています。 
 
現代でもEd Rothが描いたTシャツは販売され続けていて、80〜90年代頃の年号をメインにプリントがされていますが、こちらはボディーから、オリジナルの当時物で、もちろん袖・裾もシングルステッチです。

ジャンクなイラストとギャップのある精密なエンジンのタッチから、ビルダー魂を感じる強烈な一枚でありながら、白黒のシンプル配色なので、飽きのこないデザインです。

また60s〜70sの物も存在しますが、どうしてもサイズが小さいので、普通に着れるサイズ感も魅力的です。 
 
状態は、若干毛羽立ちがあるものの、使用感少なめの良好状態です。
